Alan in Army Men

Alan has had a very busy year and is very grateful to have worked on many projects. In November 2008, he appeared in Spike TV's "Deadliest Warrior Series" episode "Apache Vs Gladiator". Team Apache featured Alan and Mr. Snake Blocker with a guest appearance by former UFC Champion Chuck "The IceMan" Liddell. Special Thank You to MorningStar Productions.

In December, Alan worked on the shortfilm "Life's Blood" with Micheal Horse and Tschetan Santana in Los Angeles. Life's Blood is a prequel to the feature film "Blood Instinct", which is a Konceptfilms production.

Alan completed work on the Military Channel's Special Ops Mission series episode "Freebird Down" in March 2009. It was filmed on the Los Coyotes Reservation. Special Ops is also a MorningStar Entertainment production.

Alan was also featured in Spike TV's webisode entitled "Deadliest Warriors Aftermath - Apache Vs Gladiator", filmed at MTV studios in Santa Monica. In April 2009, Alan worked on Arkfilms' production "Outlaw Justice". This is the first film that Alan worked on with actress Cynthia Straus. (Alan's significant other!)

In September 2009, Alan worked on the production "MacGruber", a film with Wil Forte and Ryan Phillippe. It is set for release in April 2010.

This November, Alan started rehearsals in Taos, New Mexico, on the stage production of "The Land". It is an original play by Lynne Robinson. Performances are scheduled for December 10-12,2009. This show marks Alan's return to the stage and the second project on which Cynthia and Alan have worked together.

Finally in December, Alan worked on the film "The Loop", a comedy filmed in Santa Fe.

In the music scene, Alan has been working on new music and plans to go into the studio in 2010 and record new songs for an upcoming CD. Alan hopes to collaborate with cello player, Michael Kott; guitarist/ producer, Chris Rodriguez; percussionist/ drummer, Kevin Cox; and bass player, Randy Block; and a host of talented musicians and singers. Alan would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement of his artistic endeavors!

     Alan's earlier work includes a part in the film, Army Men. The film was shot in Santa Fe at Eaves Ranch. The photograph above was taken during the filming.

     Konceptfilms CEO Karen Criswell and Alan Tafoya have recieved permission from the Jicarilla Apache Nation Tribal Council to start filming the full-length feature film, Blood Instinct, on the Jicarilla Apache Reservation. Alan is scheduled to play Hector Tafoya, tribal police chief of the Jicarilla Apache Nation, who seeks the truth about a massacre on the reservation in Konceptfilms' upcoming production of Blood Instinct.      Alan has also worked with renowned Korean martial artist, Sang Kim, on his martial arts book. Watch this page for updates on the release of the book.

     Alan Tafoya also played an Apache medicine man in Sage Woman, which was filmed in Arizona.
